Have you ever desperately wanted to start on a new project only to find that you didn’t have any energy to do so?
When I say a new project I mean something that is really dear to your heart…something that you really love doing…this project could be something that you could do for free and be totally content…that is, of course until your next set of bills become due…because we all know that at some point we must generate income in order to survive.
Or maybe there has been a time when you desperately wanted to start on a new project, but mentally you just couldn’t focus enough to began because of the other 101 things that were on your to-do list.
We all know that within the 24 hours of our day there are tons of task that must be completed (from the time we wake up in the morning until the time we go to sleep at night and everything else inbetween…i.e. maneuvering through traffic, completing jobs tasks, taking care of the kids, tending to our spouse/significant other, working on the car etc.).
Because of all of these daily tasks, your purpose is greatly dependent on your health and wellness! The new project that you’ve been trying to start or complete for all those years may very well be your life’s purpose…or at least a part of it!
So how do you tackle the evergoing conundrum of not having enough time or energy to start and actually finish your project (YOUR LIFE’S PURPOSE) that you desperately want to work on?
You start off by first treating your project (your life’s purpose) like it is divine…YES…because it is!
Next, you treat your project like it is your child because a child must be nurtured…you have to take the time to develop your project!
You cannot expect your project (purpose) to prosper if you don’t take the necessary steps to prepare it for success…but here’s the thing…
in order for you to be able to develop your project/prepare your purpose for success, you must first get your health to an optimal level (the best level/state that can be achieved)!
Yes! I know it may sound a little crazy or might even come as a surprise, but just think about it for a minute…the healthier you are, the more you can get done!
The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines health as the condition of being sound in body, mind, or spirit; especially: freedom from physical disease or pain.
There are six dimensions of health/wellness which include physical, social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and occupational/financial/environmental.
Wellness involves every aspect of your life and health and wellness are most often used interchangeably. You may take a look at the following websites for more information on the topic.
I believe the six dimensions of health/wellness are crucial to the development of your purpose for your life.
I’ll have more time to discuss your health and wellness in more detail in a later post, but for now, the most important thing to note is that…
you must first attain an optimal level in each dimension of health/wellness in order to be able to attain the purpose for your life!
You must also remember that change comes by reprogramming your mind. You must reprogram your mind to focus on thoughts of forward-thinking (develop a habit of thinking and acting boldly and ambitiously about your project/purpose).
Furthermore, you will soon come to know and have the ability to speak your project/purpose into existence…it will no longer be just a project that you’ve been working on without pay, but instead, it will be the very thing that you do every day to make a living…it will be your divine income generator!
Once you start taking baby steps with reprogramming your mind (treating your project/purpose like it is divine and like it is your child) you will have begun to make progress towards living your purpose and living a life of fulfillment!
What are your thoughts on health and wellness? Do you feel that health and wellness are an important aspect of your purpose in your life?
Have you already found your purpose in your life? If so, what are some things that you had to work on (i.e. changing your diet, engaging in physical activity ) that has helped you live purposefully and do what you love?
Has your purpose become your divine income generator? If so, I want to hear from you!
Please share your experience by leaving a comment. We’re all in this thing called life together and it’s very inspiring and uplifting to hear other people’s stories so please don’t hesitate to chime in on this post!
My next post will be a little different. I’m going to be covering nutrition which is a component of physical health (the first dimension of health/wellness).
I’m also going to provide you with some very useful tips on meal prepping smoothies so be sure to visit again next week! 🙂
