Leo Nelson got his start as a senior in High school, the event DJ was a no show, so being the funny guy, He decided to go on stage and pretend to be the DJ. He later purchased yellow turntables which he named “Bumble Bee” and never looked back.
Since then, Leo has built his reputation as the beloved DJ Network. The name was given to him by fellow entrepreneurs and independent artist alike because at every event he attended he was always connecting and introducing himself and others, thus the name DJ Network stuck. More than just a party DJ—his dedication, reliability, approachable poise allows him to connect with people, spark emotion, and liven any special occasion.
Formally from Miami, Florida and raised in New York and Atlanta, He was exposed to all types of music which influence his musical style. You can hear him on the Kingdom Grind Radio Show.

“Thank you for this opportunity. I’ve been a licensed Master Cosmetologist for 19 years. I started doing hair at 12. I’m from Akron Ohio. I had a son at 19 and opened my first salon within a year. Life was lifeing and after 3 years I have the salon back. I lost focus due to personal reasons but never gave up. I then discovered my love for cooking. I learned to cook a lot of different things. I had a daughter at 30 and knew I had to bounce completely back and I was ready. At 32 I opened another salon and named it after my late grandmother, but lost it due to a fire. Demarcus Jones was our Special Give Away winner! He shared his story with us. “When I was 16 years of age I was incarcerated for armed robbery (Guilty as charged), I have a similar story to most young black men. I served nearly 11 years in juvenile detention and was bound over as an adult at 17 and finished my sentence in prison. I’ve since been free and very productive as a citizen. I’ve regained my rights and I work to be a better person daily. Locally and abroad I do outreach, but my dream is to form an organization that deals with preventing our young men and women from beginning the cycle of incarceration and to usher those who have been in the system to a path of success. I am an open book and I believe that meeting you is a step forward in where I am going. Thank you.”

Born in Atlanta, GA, and a product of Atlanta and Cobb County Public Schools as well as Clark Atlanta University. His professional background includes working with Atlanta Public Schools and the Fulton County Tax Commissioner’s Office before moving into Mental Health, substance abuse, and homelessness. He still works with and serves that population.
Ren has always loved music and has served as the Music Director for Cornerstone Fellowship Church in Fairburn, GA for the past 18 years. That love eventually led him to start The G.a.S. Band in 2021 after having played with several bands in and around the Atlanta area.
The G.a.S Band currently has five members and several people who serve as regular fill-ins. Karaoke remains his favorite hobby and that is how he came to meet Jiversa when she saw him perform at a karaoke event.
